Miscellaneous Films is a small but enthusiastic and determined trio of filmmakers hailing from the Midlands. Founded in the summer of 2011, despite knowing each other through college, founders Duane Acton, Chevy-Jordon Thompson and James Grimley decided to pool their knowledge, resources, ambition and ideologies together after working extensively with each other during their time at the British Youth Film Academy.
Since then they have gone on to self-produce several short films, pieces and music videos that vary from a wide range of themes and emotions, from a comical murder mystery where nothing is what it seems, to a hard-hitting drama about a boy who has lost his hearing.
Despite being of diverse backgrounds this has not stopped the trio from forming a strong and close-knit friendship, a friendship that allows them to work easily as a cohesive team that has gone from strength to strength each time they have picked up a camera. Their dedication to the creative arts unwavering, Miscellaneous Films can only get stronger.
